kiláda spring 2016
kiláda spring 2016 is an earthy exploration of various techniques explored in multiple classes. Utilizing prints explored in Digital: Surface Exploration 1, I digitally printed silk charmeuse and silk chiffon to create two dresses for the collection. Lasercut acrylic jewelry dipped in crystals and chain were designed in an Accessory Design class. Leather accessories with elements taken from the jewelry were designed and created in Fashion Product.

Beginning with thumbnail sketches of ideas, I drew out designs of pieces that I created to be taken into Adobe Illustrator. Once each piece was traced out, I could take the file to be lasercut into different materials like lamb leather and acrylic sheet. The dresses were draped, patterned, and then cut with digitally printed silk.
